Located in a quiet street of Somers, a small coastal town overlooking Western Bay. Somers House looks to establish a private coastal retreat and revegetate its landscape to its original condition.
From the street, the house confidentially rises from the landscape as a singular rammed earth form. Internally the house is arranged around a central courtyard which layers view lines between spaces and creates a softening element against the concrete and rammed earth walls.
Designed to accommodate large groups of people and a couple, the house can be both private and open.
