Warrandyte House, 2024

Warrandyte Victoria, Australia

Located in the Warrandyte hills, surrounded by gums, bedrock and an undulating topography. A folded roof, floats above a series of individually separated living volumes,  stitching the house into landscape and creating a series of protected courtyard spaces.

Materials have been chosen to reflect the locality of site, with a dark palate making connection to shadows and depth of the forests beyond, whilst also creating spaces of comfort and mood. A simplicity of structure and careful application of texture and transparency allow the project to be both expansive and compact, managing the 1400m2 floor area.
